In this article, I will show you how we can perform CRUD operation on AZURE table. This article is divided into two parts. In part 1, I am using local development fabric and storage. In next part, I will show you how can use AZURE table from Microsoft data center.
Here again, you have to pass as parameter object of PlayerEntity class and then retrieve particular player from the table based on playerId. After retrieving the player modify the particular player and do the update object operation.

5. After selecting the type. Click on the Value tab. If you are going to use development storage, you do not need to do anything. If you are using storage credentials from azure table then you have to provide the credential of azure table.
Properties: A property is a name-value pair. Each entity can include up to 252 properties to store data. Each entity also has three system properties that specify a partition key, a row key, and a timestamp. Entities with the same partition key can be queried more quickly, and inserted/updated in atomic operations. An entity's row key is its unique identifier within a partition.
In this series of byte sized tutorials, we will create an Azure Function for Crud Operations on an Azure Storage Table. For the demonstration, we will stick a basic web function, which would enable us to do the CRUD operations for a TODO table.
One of the key points to remember before we proceed is how an Entity is identified uniquely in a Azure Table Storage. Partitions allows scaling of the system easily and whenever you store an item in the table, it is stored in a partition, which is scaled out in the system. The PartionId allows to uniquely identify the partition in which the data resides. The RowId, uniquely identifies the specific entity within the Partition and together with ParitionKey forms the composite key that would be unique identifier for your entity.
For this reason, we will need a unique Id to identify the RowId. In this example, we will use a simple technique in which we will create another partition, namely Key, which would contain a single Row. This Row would contain a numerical value which we would use as the Identity value to be used in the table. With each request, we would also need to update the key.
Based on the requirements of a system, varying user may have different CRUD cycles. A customer may use CRUD to create an account and access that account when returning to a particular site. The user may then update personal data or change billing information. On the other hand, an operations manager might create product records, then call them when needed or modify line items.

Azure table storage, stores structured data on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Azure Table storage is a NoSQL kind of data store, which provides massive scalability with the ability of storing terabytes of structured data. Azure Table entity has three systems properties: RowKey for Id of the Table, PartitionKey for partitioning the Table storage and Timestamp for date information.

In the constructor function, we cerate properties for storing Azure storage client object, table name and partition key. We are also create the Azure Table within the constructor function. In Azure Cosmos Db partition keys are the core element to distributing data efficiently into different logical and physical sets so that the queries performed against the database are completed as quickly as possible. Every mapped entity should have partition key defined. Like explained above, it can be defined using @PartitionKey annotation on appropriate entity field or via configuration as explained in configuration section. Auditing is another part of controlling access. User can audit Azure Storage access by using the built-in Storage Analytics service. Storage Analytics logs every operation in real time, and you can search the Storage Analytics logs for specific requests. Filter based on the authentication mechanism, the success of the operation, or the resource that was accessed.
could it be because the google externalLogin.ProviderKey returns as a URL " =xxxxxxxxxx....." which is not permitted as a table storage rowkey? what else am i missing? was this tested with any of the external providers or only with the local site registration? Note, this approach is similar to how you would normally save Parquet data; instead of specifying format("parquet"), you will now specify format("delta"). If you were to take a look at the underlying file system, you will notice four files created for the departureDelays Delta Lake table.
In traditional data lakes, deletes are performed by re-writing the entire table excluding the values to be deleted. With Delta Lake, deletes instead are performed by selectively writing new versions of the files containing the data be deleted and only marks the previous files as deleted. This is because Delta Lake uses multiversion concurrency control to do atomic operations on the table: for example, while one user is deleting data, another user may be querying the previous version of the table. This multi-version model also enables us to travel back in time (i.e. time travel) and query previous versions as we will see later.
With the Detroit flights now tagged as Seattle flights, we now have 986 flights originating from Seattle to San Francisco. If you were to list the file system for your departureDelays folder (i.e. $../departureDelays/ls -l), you will notice there are now 11 files (instead of the 8 right after deleting the files and the four files after creating the table).
A common scenario when working with a data lake is to continuously append data to your table. This often results in duplicate data (rows you do not want inserted into your table again), new rows that need to be inserted, and some rows that need to be updated. With Delta Lake, all of this can be achieved by using the merge operation (similar to the SQL MERGE statement).
As you can see, there are three rows representing the different versions of the table (below is an abridged version to help make it easier to read) for each of the operations (create table, delete, and update):

Though above code is working fine, but we are not implementing, we learn Retrieve operation TableOperation.Retrieve(partitionkey, rowKey), this will only fetch the row from database if both parameters value match.
After setting all customer data, creating a table operation InsertOrMerge TableOperation.InsertOrMerge(_customer);,which means if there is no record, it will insert one, else it will merge with exisiting record.
Architecturally, cloud native application architecturesfavor loose coupling between components. If part of your workload requires a backing service forits routine operation, run that backing service as a component or consume it as an external service.This way, your workload does not rely on the Kubernetes API for its normal operation.
